Fishery Report » Lough Inagh Lodge Hotel and Fishery
[ June 2008 ]
Colin Folan reports that massive floods have brought a very good run of salmon and seatrout into the system. The seatrout are in good condition and lice free, and a good average size. At the time of writing the water is very high on the lake but the river is in great shape, with plenty of anglers fishing.
Notable catehes were made by John Connolly, Mayo, who fished for two days and landed four salmon from 4 to 9 lbs. all from Corloo Beat on a Silver Badger and a Cascade. Vincent Foley, Dublin, fished for one day and caught one salmon and 16 seatrout from the Inagh river below Corloo. Kevin Cronin, Dublin, took a 5lbs grilse from Inagh on a Green Dabbler. Michael Heery, Dublin, landed the best fish of the week with a 12.5lbs salmon from Corloo on a Silver Stoat.
