[ September 2009 ]
Mild and dry conditions for the most of September left fewdays for angling, however there were some notable catches as the month wore on, fresh salmon are as hard to find as ever in the last month of the season and this September proved no exception.
Three large red salmon were relased unharmed back to the perestene landscape from where they came, regular anglers are often reluctant to fish the beat in September as a lot of fish this far upstream are in fresh water for some time and easly exhausted.
Seatrout proved to be the stars of the show at the latter end of the month with Oshin O' Seven seatrout and three salmon total for September on the Owenduff . With few anglers and less suitable fishing days, over all, the fishing wasn't that bad, considering the conditions.
