Mount Juliet is a four star hotel on a 1500 acre estate of unspoilt woodland, pasture and gardens, in the southeast of Ireland. Built over 200 years ago, the elegance of the original decor has been painstakingly preserved and each of the 32 bedrooms has retained its own individual character and ambience.
The Hunter’s Yard courtyard bedrooms provide a contemporary contrast to the grandeur of Mount Juliet House. The Rose Garden Lodges, each with two bedrooms, lounge, dining room and kitchen, are popular for longer stays.
The estate’s finest restaurant, the Lady Helen Dining Room, is beautifully decorated and offers a distinguished menu of classic Irish dishes. Kendals Restaurant in the Hunters Yard offers Irish cuisine with a modern twist.
Mount Juliet is also home to one of Ireland’s finest golf courses and the 18-hole, par 53 putting course, offers a unique challenge to all golfers.
The Fishing
Mount Juliet Estate is blessed with two significant rivers within its walls - the famous River Nore and its tributary, the King’s River.
Both rivers have supplied the tables of Mount Juliet and other great houses of the area with catches of salmon and wild brown trout down through the years. Today, twelve named pools offer good fishing. The pools and beats are all within a short walk of Mount Juliet House.
Expert help on hand for those unfamiliar with the mysteries of rod and fly, Ghillies are available. Fly fishing master class available during season.
Mount Juliet boasts a wide range of activities onsite including clay target shooting and horse riding. We also have archery, indoor swimming pool, spa, tennis court, croquet lawn and mountain bikes. Complimentary estate tours available to all guests.
